Committees
MCAG actively seeks public opinion on work programs and projects at all stages of the development process. MCAG’s citizen participation program ensures that the transportation planning process involves the public and includes the traditionally underrepresented (i.e. Black, Hispanic, Asian American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, and Pacific Islander).
MCAG Governing Board
The 11-member MCAG Governing Board includes a supervisor from each of the five county districts and an elected official from each of the six incorporated cities located within the political boundary of Merced County, California. Incorporated cities are: Atwater, Dos Palos, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos, and Merced.

Technical Review Board (TRB)
The 7-member Technical Review board (TRB) is composed of the City Managers from each of the cities and the Executive Officer of Merced County. The TRB sends their recommendations on issues directly to the MCAG Governing Board.

Technical Planning Committee (TPC)
The 7-member Technical Planning Committee (TPC) is made up of professional municipal employees from all of the jurisdictions in Merced County. This committee reviews and passes on recommendations to the MCAG Governing Board, by way of the Technical Review Board (TRB). Each jurisdiction selects the staff members they choose to serve on the committee.

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)
The 17-member Citizens Advisory Committee is a group of private sector individuals who are appointed by the Governing Board to serve based on the geographic location of their home or business and their work experience. By their By-Laws, none can be an elected official in the county.

Continuum of Care (CoC)
Merced City and County CoC Executive Council membership consists of 3 government reps, 2 faith-based, 2 nonprofit, 1 business rep, 2 citizens-at-large, and 1 homeless person or recipient of homeless services who are elected by the COC General Collaborative Group.

Solid Waste Policy Board (SWPB)
The SWPB is composed of one supervisor for each of the five county districts and one elected official from each of the six incorporated cities located within the political boundary of Merced County, California. Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC)
The SSTAC is composed of: 1 representative of potential transit users who is 60 years of age or older; 1 representative of potential transit users who is handicapped; 2 representatives of the local social service providers for seniors, including 1 representative of a social service transportation provider, if one exists; 1 representative of a local social service provider for persons of limited means; 2 representatives from the local consolidated transportation service agency, designated pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 15975 of the Government Code, if one exists, including 1 representative from an operator, if one exists.

Integrated Waste Management Local Task Force (IWMLTF)
The purpose of the task force is to provide recommendations and comments to Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority Board(MCRWMAB). Comments of the LTF are intended to address the development of, and revisions to, the Regional Agency's County Integrated Waste Management Plan (CIWMP).
